Grace Is For You Too (93 Kb)
Have you ever at one point thought that you had done something so bad that God could not forgive you? Have you ever believed that because you had strayed so far from God that He could not reach you, that He wouldn't accept you back. For a person who has to live with this hellish feeling, it is very difficult to accept God's forgiveness because he doesn't believe he is worthy of it. Many of us believe that others are more worthy to receive His mercy than we are. In the first place, we are in error to believe such a thing because salvation is by grace and no one is -ever- worthy. So, we need to get rid of that notion from the beginning.

Breaking Through Racial Barriers (97 Kb)
The Body of Christ is wonderful, to make a sinner-turned-saint feel loved. The fact that we were of different races did not matter. It did not matter that we had different backgrounds and different cultures. The Holy Spirit transcends all of that. Perhaps we have so many differences that I would never have anything in common with them if not for Jesus Christ. But He is sufficient to unify every single believer. |

Some Thoughts On "First John" (97 kb)
1That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched-this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. 2The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. 3We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 4We write this to make our joy complete. (1st John 1:1-4)

Distance Between Money and the Heart (97 Kb)
Today, you can take care of the debt in your heart with God. It has nothing to do with money, but more to do with the inside. If we hold back from the Lord what He requires, how can we say that we trust Him? How can we say that we serve Him? When one gives from their wallet, they also give from the heart. We have seen that with the Hurricane disaster in Louisiana. As I was reminded by a friend this past week, "It all belongs to God anyway." And I can tell you, that we truly can trust God with our money as well as with our lives.

Hands of Mercy (99 Kb)
For just one moment, think about the person that reached you, that made an impact on your life. Now, think about how you can do the same for someone else, someone that desperately needs hope. Christ is the only hope that we have, but he calls us to pass it on to someone who has none. We cannot be selfish hiding it away so that others will never experience it. As I said before, we are Jesus to the downtrodden so that the power of God will be revealed in someone's life.

Being a Blessing (96 Kb)
...there are the servants who will minister to those that God has put before them. They know how to treat people and they know how to love. They even know how to be a blessing, recognizing that people in their path are there to be blessed by us. This doesn't mean that we shouldn't go where God leads us or that we shouldn't take advantage of opportunities to minister. But it never means that we treat people as if they were dispensable.

New Steps (Part 2 of 2) (93 Kb)
By the time you receive this letter, my new wife will already be on our cruise in the Caribbean. Planning a wedding is pretty difficult and it can really make your life interesting for a while. Everything happens all at once. But we found that many people were willing to help us. When we were in the planning stages, our pastor told us something very important, that we announce our wedding plans to the church, inviting everyone. Why? Because in the Hispanic Community, weddings are a community event and everyone wants to be part of it.

New Steps (Part 1 of 2) (98 Kb)
Aaron challenges us as he begins this new road of marriage..."I know singles who stress too much over their singleness. Being single does not mean being less of a person. It just means that God has something so good cooking in the pot, that when it happens, it will have been worth the wait, and you will realize why you had to wait. Try to serve God where you are right now. The more you work on your relationship with the Lord, the less baggage you will bring with you when you do get married." |

The Purpose For What We Do (100 Kb)
Aaron asks us, "...what is the purpose for what we do? Do we go to church to win brownie points with God? Do we serve just to be with our friends and to look good in front of them? I decided a while ago that I would not do anything for the Lord for the purpose of appearing to be someone I am not in front of others." |

Only a Vapor (99 Kb)
Aaron encourages us to slow down. "I am 31 years old. What happened? Just yesterday, I was 21. This May, Lord willing, I will be getting married, something that I have waited for for many years. The waiting seems slow, but then when we get to the other side, we regret having wasted the time fretting. We waste our time on meaningless things, don't we?" |

Battling the Gossip Monster (102 Kb)
"Gossiping is one the most destructive and hurtful sins in the Church. I have seen people rebuking brothers and sisters for sexual sins, but they say nothing about cliques and gossip. Gossip is just as much sin as stealing, just as much a sin as immorality. It can destroy someone's testimony. And unfortunately, a gossiper usually never sees their problem and therefore they do not change."

Keeping the Vision Alive (98 Kb)
Aaron reminds us that we all are called to the Mission Field..."One who says that he/she isn't does not understand God's heart for the world. Don't worry about the resources, nor about your future, because God will make it all very clear when it is time for you to know it." |
